Commentary
Mon, 2012-07-23 13:33

As the banking sector took center stage in the 2008 financial crisis, the debate over how to to ensure financial stability going forward has generated many heated arguments over issues like "too big to fail", Basel III, the Volker rule just to name a few.

We have collected commentaries that reflect the evolution of banking regulation, over the past couple of years.

Most of the working papers we have collected for this section address the issue of financial stability: they analyze the architecture of global financial regulation, formulate indicators of stress of the banking sector, and evaluate the link between banking crises and sovereign debt crises.

The research posted is from Central Banks, think tanks, international organizations and universities around the world and dates from the beginning of 2012.
