We have collected commentaries from academic economists and economic think-tanks on the benefits and disadvantages on the US economy of the dollar's role as a reserve currency.

Several articles also constitute a "dollar watch" identifying and analyzing the factors that might give some indication of a transition to a multipolar currency system.

As China is acquiring economic prominence in the world stage, the assumption that the renminbi could also eventually replace the dollar as a reserve currency is gaining traction.

The research collected in this section, since the beginning of 2011, addresses the internationalization of the renminbi and its effects on the dollar and the euro. Contributions are mostly from European and American universities and think-tanks.
