Should the West provide financial support to the countries that were ravaged by the turmoil? Should the restructuring of institutions be the first step towards healthier economies? The debate is still going on.

We have collected working papers from universities, think tanks and international organizations that address the issue of how natural resource wealth leads to undemocratic regimes and unequal income distribution.

In addition, recent papers analyze the effects of the turmoil on the Arab world economies and draw on history to evaluate the tendency to relapse into subsequent conflicts even years after the cessation of violence.
